Onyx Labs was founded in 2026, but the story starts well before that. We came from two businesses — one in managed IT and web services, one in web design and development — that had been operating in New Zealand for over ten years. Over that time, we built a lot of websites, managed a lot of infrastructure, and watched the technology landscape change dramatically.
What we noticed, as AI began reshaping how businesses operate, was that the businesses we worked with needed more than separate vendors. They needed a team that understood the full picture — the website, the infrastructure, the tools, and now the AI layer sitting on top of it all. Merging made sense. Onyx Labs is the result.
